“A foot, a shoe, a boot, even just a part of it – suggests a possibility of movement, walking, jumping, rotating. A foot alone, without a human body to belong to becomes a mindless extremity still suggesting movement in a mechanical way. If we compound two feet or more together, we can create numerous monster-like machines. We alter the number and the direction of the feet to create various compositions searching for the moment in which the structure would be as convincing as if it could move in reality.
In my sketches, I search for quick representations of ideas which can later work as reminders while developing a new work.”
